ELDER ROXANNE T. GAYLE, JD

Our First Lady

The best word that can be used to describe our pastor’s wife is COMMITTED. She is committed to her Lord and Savior, committed to the ministry, committed to her family and committed to fulfill her divine purpose in life. Born to parents, who themselves are in the ministry, Elder Roxanne had no choice but to be committed. Her father, Minister James Bryan, was a drummer and Roxanne got her musicality from him. Her mother, Evangelist Valrie Bryan, was her chief motivator, always pushing her to achieve more. From birth, her parents asked God to implant into her all the skills they did not have, but wanted. God therefore made her a singer, songwriter, and worship leader, just to name a few.

Elder Roxanne Gayle has been singing all her life and though she holds a Juris Doctor Degree, she knows that she was called to ministry and has taken the steps necessary to fulfill her God-given mandate. She grew up in the Apostolic Church and committed her life to the Lord at the age of 9. She initially started by playing the drums and later fell in love with the bass guitar. When she migrated to the United States, God expanded her skills and she transitions into leading worship.

She has a host of musical mentors including International Gospel Artists, Roger and Sam Grandison, who have inspired, counseled and encouraged her in songwriting and in ministry. Her recently release Live Recorded EP “The Promise” featured Award Winning Artists, JJ Hairston and Jonathan Nelson. The full album will be released in 2024 and will also feature a song with Papa San. The EP is a glimpse of what is to come from Roxanne. Her single from the project “You Reign” has landed her with several nominations with the Rythmn of Gospel Awards and Tampa Bay Awards. She was also hand-picked to by the Stellar Awards to participate in their first ever New Artist Showcase in Las Vegas Nevada.

Elder Roxanne Trissia Gayle was also inspired to form a non-profit organization, “Roxanne Trissia Gives Back”, an organization whose main focus is on motivating and steering young people in the direction required for success in their future. She is an avid community activist and volunteers with the local Guardian Ad Litem Program where she advocates for neglected and mistreated children.

Elder Roxanne loves people and serves the congregation of The Life Shift Church along with her husband, Pastor Darren D. Gayle, with her whole heart.
